The Music Zirconia Booking Agency was created to act as a much needed service exclusively to the world's top Tribute and Cover Bands. These specialty acts have specific needs and requirements that differ from recording artist and bands trying to promote original music. While our acts are also highly skilled musicians and entertainers, their target market is somewhat different than a recording artist. Our clients come to Music Zirconia to book acts that have a proven familiarity in their performance. Whether it be to experience a tribute to a top musical icon or to have an evening of a particular genre (such as 80's New Wave or Big Hair Rock).

As a tribute or cover band there are many reasons to use professional representation from an agency such as ours:


Business Dealings and Contractual Agreements.

As a top performing act you need to focus on your performance and not attending to such issues as deposits, rider fulfillment and payments. In fact it reflects poorly on an act when a band member is the one taking care of these issues. You rely on an agency the same way you rely on legal representation when you have legal matter. Music Zirconia is very experienced with all issues that pertain to performance contracts. While we are not attorneys ourselves, we do retain legal council to resolve such matters on the very rare occasions they may occur. If there is ever a dispute with a venue or client it is Music Zirconia's job to resolve these issues so the performers do not have to.


Securing Bookings

As an organization Music Zirconia has the resources to generate exposure to a considerably larger audience than any individual act is able to do. We have an in-house internet marketing guru who's full time job is to utilize the vast exposure opportunities of the World Wide Web. We organize special "Music Zirconia" sponsored events to gain exposure to large audiences. We attend such functions as bridal bizarres and trade shows to showcase and sell our acts. We also spend a considerable amount of money on network memberships that would be too expensive for an individual band to realistically afford. And most importantly, we have the staff to solicit 100's of festivals, fairs, corporate events, prom committees, wedding guides and similar relevant avenues for performance opportunities.

Fair Compensation.

It is an undisputable fact that an agency has a better chance of reaching talent buyers and negotiating mutually beneficial compensation than a band member can. Music Zirconia has established relationships with talent buyers across the United States and some international agents. Our agency usually has a general idea of how much certain clubs will pay for an act and will always try to secure that price. Whereas some clubs will "work" a naive band into accepting a fraction of what they are actually willing to pay for your performance. After we receive an offer for a performance we will always let our acts decide if the offer is acceptable before we secure any booking. This includes performance fees, hospitality, travel and lodging in many cases.

Show Organization and Special Requirements

In certain circumstances Music Zirconia also offers auxiliary show needs such as sound, lighting, staging, sound men, and production managers. While these items are usually reserved for large corporate events, it is often imperative to have these for a proper production. There are a few acts that come self-contained and have all of these items, however, most don't. We prefer to allow our acts to concentrate on their performance rather than production details.
