Hollywood Roses lead singer Colby Veil’s incredible likeness to Axl Rose, in vocal prowess, mannerisms and appearance, helped pave the way for the band’s recognition as “Hollywood’s Best Tribute Band” year after year. The band also includes Robo on guitar as “Slash”, Niki Rott on bass as “Duff”, “Capone” on guitar as “Izzy” and Justin Sandler on drums as “Steven Adler”. Just like GNR, the band was formed in the jungle of the Sunset Strip of Hollywood, CA.
In their 10 years together the band has garnered many accolades including- 3 "Best Tribute Band" Awards, 2 “Best Lead Vocalist” awards, movie soundtracks, movie appearances, a feature story in Metal Edge Magazine, etc. What originally started as merely a tribute band has become so much more.
HOLLYWOOD ROSES is endorsed by G&R alums Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagen, Steven Adler, Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum & Tracii Guns. In 2007, Colby Veil was hand-picked to sing with Steven Adler, Duff and Izzy (performing together for the first time in 20 years) for the 20th Anniversary of "Appetite for Destruction." with the GNR drummer’s band Adler’s Appetite; which went on to tour internationally, largely performing GNR classics.

Released via Cleopatra Records/Deadline Music, "Dopesnake" was produced by Bradley Cook (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, YELLOWCARD, DWARVES) and features original material along with masterful covers of THIN LIZZY's "Jailbreak" and VAN HALEN's "Ice Cream Man".
The Hollywood Roses / Dopesnake track "Hell Yeah" is currently featured in the trailer for the upcoming (August 2010) motion picture Easy Rider II - The Ride Back.
